Why a scalp treatment?

Because your scalp is an extension of your face and vice versa. Your scalp is skin too.  It deserves and needs the same cleansing and exfoliating treatment that your face does.  Without proper scalp conditioning, you may experience adverse skin conditions, hair thinning, loss, or both.

Who is a candidate for HydraFacial Keravive?

What are the indications for Keravive?

• Scalp itching, flaking, dryness, redness, or other irritation.
• Unhealthy, thinning hair due to hormonal, environmental, or psychological concerns.
• Those preparing for hair transplants or undergoing hair loss treatments. 

Are there contraindications?

Only those previously diagnosed with skin cancers on the scalp. It is not recommended for pregnant or nursing mothers (as no studies have been done). There are no known interactions with topical medications. However, Keravive Take Home Spray should be applied first, then other topicals like Minoxidil. There are no known interactions with drugs, supplements, or vitamins used to treat hair loss and scalp conditions. 

What are the benefits?

What are the pre-appointment instructions?

 Arrive with clean, dry hair, free of styling products.

What does it feel like?

The procedure is pain free, gentle, and relaxing

How long does it take?

It takes approximately 30 minutes to address major areas of concern, longer if circumstances warrant it.

What are the post appointment instructions?

• Allow your hair to dry naturally following the treatment.
• Do not wash your hair for 6-12 hours, or better yet, until the next day.
• Use styling products after the hair has naturally dried.

May I have this treatment with color treated or permed hair?

Yes

May I have this treatment with bonded or taped-in hair extensions?

Yes 

COMBINATION TREATMENT:

Combination treatments can be beneficial as solutions to hair thinning or loss usually involve several approaches in combination with one another.

May I have this treatment in conjuction with PRP?

For best results, it is not recommended to have both treatments during the same visit.  Alternate between the two treatments and space them at least two weeks apart.

May I have this treatment in conjuction with a hair transplant?

This treatment is beneficial in improving scalp health.  It is best to have a series of three in the 3-6 months prior to your transplant surgery.

May I have a Keravive if I have had a hair transplant?

It is best to wait six months after the transplant. However, the take-home spray may be used 4 weeks after.
