What is MonaLisa Touch?
If Mona Lisa is mentioned, what does the name mean to you? Do you immediately think of Leonardo da Vinci’s famous portrait? Do you think of the artist’s mastery of his craft or do you think of the woman herself? Who was she? Why did he paint her? Did he find her to be a classic beauty? Do you conjure the image of the woman whose gaze follows you or whose smile seems to have an elusive meaning? Do you ponder as so many have done, what does that smile mean? Was she happy? Amused? Coquettish? Did she know a secret? Who knows?
When we here at Southeast Sculpting+Rejuvenation think of Mona Lisa, we have an entirely different response. We don’t think of the painting or the woman, we think of our laser that is named MonaLisa Touch and used for the restoration of feminine gynecologic health. We like to think it was named after the woman who smiled because she had much to smile about. We believe our patients treated with the MonaLisa Touch feel the same. They too smile because they feel better and more like themselves.
What is MonaLisa Touch?
It is an FDA cleared, CO2 fractionated laser used to treat vaginal atrophy. When a woman’s estrogen levels decrease due to menopause or cancer treatments, the resulting thinning and shortening of the vaginal walls predispose the vagina to weakness and infection. Women experience unwanted and prolonged issues that affect the quality of their lives.
What are the symptoms of vaginal atrophy?
Vaginal itching, burning, dryness, inflammation, urinary incontinence, recurrent urinary infection, or painful intercourse.
What does the MonaLisa Touch do?
It stimulates new collagen, elastin, and blood vessel growth without the use of creams, tablets, or rings. It restores the vagina to an earlier, healthier state. While all women who experience vulva-vaginal atrophy are candidates, it is especially advantageous to breast and ovarian cancer survivors who cannot receive estrogen therapy or who have experienced failed estrogen therapy.
What does this therapy require?
Three in-office, five-minute treatments, scheduled 4-6 weeks apart.
- No anesthesia
- No downtime
- No hormonal therapy
- Minimal side effects
Many women report symptom relief after just one treatment and even greater improvement after the second and third treatments. Call 803-396-2727 to register for one of our seminars, ask questions of our nursing staff, or schedule a complimentary consultation with one of our Board-certified OB-GYN physicians. You too can be one of the many treated with this “game changing” procedure by Dr. Ansley Hilton or Dr. Joe Robinson.
In recognition of the many who are or have battled breast and ovarian cancer and in hopes of continued wellness for all women, we have included the MonaLisa Touch procedure among our October promotions. Please check www.sesculpting.com, @sesculpting.com, or call the office for further details.
